Recently, the Chinese bookshelf project officially settled in the National Library of Vientiane, Laos, and held a project unveiling and launching event. The books for this project are provided by China Books Import & Export (Group) Corporation, led by PowerChina, and organized by Laos Nam Ou River Basin Power Generation Company. Books in various Chinese and foreign languages, including Chinese economy, humanities, social sciences, etc., will be used in the National Library of Laos to expand the in-depth understanding of the general public in Lao society on all aspects of Chinese knowledge and information.

Samlan said that the friendly cooperation between China and Laos has carried out exchanges and interactions in various fields and achieved fruitful results. The librarian of the National Library of Laos said that the Chinese bookshelf came very timely. Now that the China-Laos Railway has been opened to traffic, the exchanges are very close. Many people are learning Chinese and learning more about China. Many librarians in our library are learning Chinese knowledge. These books are great.
