The People's Government of the Autonomous Region agreed that Sinopec Nova Inner Mongolia Green Hydrogen New Energy Company would implement the second phase of the Ordos Wushen Banner Scenery Integration Green Hydrogen Chemical Demonstration Project Ulanqab 100000t/a wind and solar hydrogen production integrated demonstration project.

Erdos Wushen Banner Scenery Integration Green Hydrogen Chemical Demonstration Project Phase II. Grid connected, with a new energy construction scale of 400000 kilowatts, all of which are wind power, with a hydrogen production capacity of 20000 tons/year. Hydrogen is used to replace the olefin green hydrogen of Zhongtian Hechuang, with a hydrogen storage capacity of 216000 tons. The project owner is Sinopec Nova Inner Mongolia Green Hydrogen New Energy Co., Ltd., with a planned total investment of 3 billion yuan. The project was started in June 2023 and put into production in June 2024.

Ulanqab 100000t/a wind and solar hydrogen production integrated demonstration project. Grid connected, the new energy construction scale is 2.546 million kilowatts, including 1.742 million kilowatts of wind power, 804 million kilowatts of photovoltaic, and the hydrogen production capacity is 100000 tons/year. The hydrogen is delivered to Yanshan Petrochemical through long-distance pipeline. The project owner is Sinopec Nova Inner Mongolia Green Hydrogen New Energy Co., Ltd., with a planned total investment of 20.5 billion yuan. According to the requirements, the wind power project in the demonstration project is a market-oriented grid connection project, and the power purchased by the grid company shall not exceed 20% of the total power generation of new energy of the project. Wind power projects and hydrogen production projects need to be put into operation simultaneously. It is strictly prohibited to build wind power projects only, and hydrogen production projects will not be put into operation.
