Recently, the 2022 Middle East Big Project Awards Ceremony organized by CPI Trade, a well-known media group in the Gulf region, was successfully held in the UAE. The UAE wind power demonstration project undertaken by PowerChina stood out among the four shortlisted projects and won the title of Energy Project of the Year. The award has been held for 12 times so far, and it is one of the most authoritative media awards in the construction industry in the Middle East and North Africa.

The UAE Wind Power Demonstration Project is the first wind power project in the UAE and has received great attention and support from the UAE government. This project is of great significance to the utilization and development of wind energy resources in the UAE. The successful construction of this project has laid a foundation for the development of subsequent wind power projects in the UAE, and is also of positive significance to promoting the export of Chinese technology and Chinese equipment.

The project was signed on September 19, 2021, and construction will start on November 23, 2021. Various tasks are being steadily advanced. The project department will make persistent efforts to create quality demonstration projects, contribute Chinese wisdom, Chinese solutions, and Chinese power to the green transformation of the UAE, and forge ahead to lighten the world and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
