With the opening of the Kunming Vientiane high-speed railway between China and Laos, it has stimulated the development of tourism travel and international freight transport between the two countries, greatly reducing freight costs, shortening transport distance and saving transport time.

For Thailand, the Kunming Vientiane route of the China Laos high-speed railway is another export transport option for Thai entrepreneurs. Thai goods can be transported to China through Laos. Dr. Danan, President of Thailand Post Co., Ltd., said that cross-border transportation can create income for Thailand Post and Thai entrepreneurs, and promote economic development, especially in the retail industry and e-commerce.

Thailand Post cooperates with Laos Post to stimulate the economic development of the two countries, expand the market of various commodities, and enable products to enter important cities in a wider range. Since the beginning of 2022, more than 3000 items have been transported from Thailand to Laos through Thailand Post. If the China Laos railway is used, there is still an opportunity to ship Thai products to China in large quantities.Editor/Xing Wentao
