Recently, the handover ceremony of the affordable housing project in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, undertaken by PowerChina, was held at the Ministry of Urban and Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia. Nearly 1,500 sets of affordable housing built with Chinese standards and Chinese technology have won high praise from Saudi Arabia for their excellent quality.

At the handover ceremony, Saudi Arabian Minister of Urban and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Khogal thanked PowerChina for providing high-quality housing for the Saudi people and significantly improving the living conditions of the local people. Majid is very much looking forward to further deepening practical cooperation with PowerChina, and asked in detail about PowerChina's development planning and production capacity resources in the housing sector in Saudi Arabia, and is willing to personally facilitate the joint promotion of the project. Product positioning, technical solutions, material standards, delivery standards and management models are constantly achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.

The Saudi affordable housing project is one of the important contents of the Saudi Vision 2030, and it is also a livelihood project that the Saudi government is focusing on promoting. The standards of Saudi affordable housing are higher than those of traditional affordable housing. It is independently optimized and designed by Power Construction Corporation of China, using cast-in-place concrete prefabricated structure, and high-standard decoration and decoration of high-quality housing. Courtyard walls, house inner walls, outer rings, floor slabs, etc. are all pre-produced in a fully automated prefabrication site, and then assembled into houses at the project site by splicing, which greatly improves production efficiency. Household appliances, cabinets, stoves, furniture, including garden greening are all available in the house. Saudi residents can move in with their bags, which is convenient and worry-free. The simple and practical design style fully meets the aesthetic and living needs of local residents. The Minister of Urban and Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia and the Deputy Minister were full of praise for the quality of the houses handed over by China Power Construction, saying that China Power Construction provided the Saudi people with top-level affordable housing like Mercedes-Benz cars.

Since the handover of the first batch of 203 affordable housing units in September 2022, PowerChina has handed over 8 batches of nearly 1,500 housing units, benefiting nearly 1,500 Saudi families.
