"When you see the AU Conference Center, you will find that it can be interpreted in many ways. It shows the African civilization, African culture and solidarity, as well as the prospects for Africa's development and reform, and also explains the firm partnership between China and Africa." said Fantahong Hellmichael, the AU headquarters project coordinator.

"Ethiopia has a long rainy season, resulting in a shortage of construction work time. The CSCEC project team overcame this difficulty by increasing input from all parties and employing more workers. It is amazing that they completed the project construction with such high quality in such a short time!" said Ernetu, then the industry director of the AU headquarters.

After the completion and delivery of the project, the Chinese technical assistance team continued to stay, providing technical support, helping to train local technicians, ensuring the normal operation of the conference center equipment, and ensuring the smooth convening of various important meetings. Up to now, the AU Conference Center Project has trained more than 260 professional and technical workers for Ethiopia, driving more than 2000 jobs.

Today, the AU Conference Center holds a meeting at the level of heads of state and government every year.
