On January 5, 2023, Longyuan Power Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd. announced that it had won the development index of the demonstration project of the 600MW scenic hydrogen and ammonia infrastructure integrated low-carbon park in the Alxa High-tech Zone. It is reported that this is the first green electricity hydrogen production project of the National Energy Group in Inner Mongolia during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

The project is located in Alxa Left Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a planned construction capacity of 600 MW, including 400 MW of wind power and 200 MW of photovoltaic power.

After the completion of the project, the equivalent utilization hours of wind power will be 2980 hours, and the equivalent utilization hours of photovoltaic power will be 1750 hours. It is estimated that the total annual power generation will reach 1.542 billion kilowatt-hours, saving 45600 tons of standard coal and reducing 88300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year; The green electricity can be used to produce hydrogen and synthesize 140000 tons of ammonia every year.
