Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission approved the feasibility study report of three local highway projects, namely, the reconstruction and expansion project of the National Highway G219 Yunnan Menglahongqiao to Lvchun Lixianjiang section, the reconstruction and expansion project of the National Highway G219 Yunnan Lancangmujia to Ximengmengmeng Mengsuo section, and the reconstruction and expansion project of the National Highway G219 Yunnan Ximengmeng Mengsuo to Menglian Nayun section, with a total investment of about 6 billion yuan.

Reconstruction and expansion project of Yunnan Mengla Hongqiao to Lvchun Lixian River section of National Highway G219

The total length of the project is 116.644 km, including 48.575 km of the Zhengdong-Jiangcheng section and 68.069 km of the reconstructed and expanded section. It starts near Hongqiao at the junction of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture and Jiangcheng County, Puer City, and connects to the end of the reconstruction and expansion project of Mengla (Mengxing) - Hongqiao section of Yunnan National Highway G219; It ends at the lower bridge of Lixianjiang at the junction of Pu'er City and Honghe Prefecture, and connects with the starting point of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Lixianjiang-Luchun section of the national highway G219. The reconstructed and expanded sections are constructed according to the standard of two-lane Class II highway, with the design speed of 40 km/h, the subgrade width of 8.5 meters and 12 meters. The design vehicle load class of bridges and culverts is highway – I, and other technical indicators are implemented according to the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01 – 2014).

There are 105 bridges and 52 level crossings on the main line. The estimated total investment of the project is 2.348 billion yuan.

Reconstruction and expansion project of Yunnan Lancangmujia to Ximengmengmengsuo section of National Highway G219

The main line of the project is 61.314 km long, with 18.833 km of reconstruction and expansion and 42.481 km of new construction. It starts near Fumeng on the west side of Mujia Township, Lancang County, and is connected to the end of Gangmobiaoshan to Mujia section of the national highway G219; It ends at the south side of Mengsuo Town, Ximeng County, and connects with the starting point of the reconstruction and expansion project of Mengsuo-Menglian Nayun section of the national highway G219. It is constructed according to the standard of two-lane Class II highway, with a design speed of 40km/h, a subgrade width of 8.5m for general sections, and a subgrade width of 12m for Ximeng County section K57+940 ～ K62+363. The design vehicle load class of bridges and culverts is highway – I, and other technical indicators are implemented according to the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01 – 2014).

There are 88 bridges and 2 tunnels on the main line. There are 31 level crossings and 2 separate vertical crossings. The estimated total investment of the project is 2.203 billion yuan.

Reconstruction and expansion project of Mengsu-Menglianayun section of Yunnan Ximeng National Highway G219

The total length of the project is 42.439 kilometers, starting from the south side of Mengsuo Town, Ximeng County, and connecting to the end of Lancangmujia to Mengsuo section of National Highway G219; It ends at the northwest side of Hela Xinzhai, Nayun Town, Menglian County, and connects the Menglian-Lancang section of the national highway G219. It is constructed according to the standard of two-lane Class II highway. The design speed of the section is 40 km/h and 60 km/h, and the subgrade width is 8.5 meters and 12 meters. The design vehicle load grade of the bridge and culvert is highway – I, and other technical indicators are implemented according to the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01 – 2014).
