Serbian President Inspects the Nuosu Section of the Hunish-Serbia Railway
On January 14, 2023, Serbian President Vucic visited the construction site of the Nuosu section of the Hunish-Serbia railway in Serbia, accompanied by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Vucic and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo.
During the inspection, China and Serbia said to each other a happy New Year and wished that the joint construction of the the Belt and Road would achieve more results and that China Serbia friendship would write a new chapter. Vucic said that thanks to the cooperation idea put forward by the Chinese side, the construction of the Hunish-Serbia Railway has become a part of Serbia's modernization construction and is crucial to promoting the development of northern Serbia, tourism development along the line and investment attraction. Thank the builders of China and Serbia for making every effort to speed up the construction of the project. He is proud of the results achieved so far.

Project overview
The Hungarian-Serbia Railway connects Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It is a landmark project of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. It is also the docking of China's railway technology and equipment with the European Union's railway interconnection technical specifications. The total length of the railway section in Serbia is 183 kilometers, and the design maximum speed is 200 kilometers per hour. The Beno section, namely the section from Belgrade to Novisad, was put into operation on March 19, 2022. The Nuosu section, namely the Novisade-Subotica border section, has a total length of 108.1 km. There are 11 stations in the whole line, and the construction is in progress in an orderly manner.Editor/Ma Xue
