A few days ago, the world's second largest membrane seawater desalination plant undertaken by China Energy Construction - the Umm Al Quwain 150MIGD seawater desalination project in the United Arab Emirates was awarded the TOC issued by the owner, marking the construction stage of China Energy's first seawater desalination project in the Middle East It ended smoothly.

Project Overview

The three production lines of the project can produce 682,000 cubic meters of fresh water per day, and it takes 20 days to fill the entire West Lake. At the same time, a total of 5 drinking water storage tanks will be built. It was fully put into operation in August, and was delivered to thousands of households in the UAE through the northern UAE water network, providing clean and high-quality domestic water for millions of residents.

The Umm Al Quwain 150MIGD desalination project in the UAE is a key project along the Belt and Road. The project adopts the reverse osmosis membrane process project, which reduces energy consumption by 20% compared with other processes.
