The reporter recently learned from China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that since the opening of the China-Laos Railway, the "Fuxing" and "Lancang" EMUs have been running safely, green, fast and comfortable, which has greatly shortened the time and space distance between cities along the line. Popular with the public, as of January 31, 2023, a total of 20,000 passenger trains have been operated, transporting 10.3 million passengers.

According to reports, the China section of the China-Laos Railway operates 56 passenger trains per day, with a maximum of 70 trains per day, transporting 65,000 passengers, and a total of 8.7 million passengers; the Laos section operates 8 passenger trains per day, with a maximum of 10 trains per day. , 8,800 passengers were sent, and a total of 1.6 million passengers were sent. The number of stations handling passenger transport business has increased from 7 at the beginning of opening to 10 at present. EMUs and ordinary speed trains have been run on the same line, and ticket offices have been opened in major cities in Laos. The time for pre-sale tickets has been extended to make it easier for Lao people to travel by train. "The passenger volume of the China-Laos Railway continues to grow, the service quality has been greatly improved, and the radiation effect has been continuously enhanced, which has played a positive role in serving the people of the two countries to travel conveniently and efficiently."
