Recently, Liu Peng, secretary of Wuwei Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Guobin, deputy secretary and mayor of Wuwei Municipal Party Committee, went to China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group for docking work and had a discussion with Di Wei, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group.

Liu Peng said that for a long time, China Railway Lanzhou Railway Bureau Group has paid close attention to and strongly supported the economic and social development of Wuwei. Especially since the construction of the Zhongchuan Airport to Wuwei Section of the Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou Third and Fourth Line Railway was launched, China Railway Lanzhou Railway Bureau Group has carefully organized and scientifically scheduled, and the project construction has accelerated.

Liu Peng said that the Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou 3rd and 4th Railway is a major project in the national 14th Five-Year Plan for the development of the railway, and also a major provincial project. It is of great significance to promote the high-quality development of the economy and society in Wuwei and facilitate the travel of the people. Since the commencement of the construction of the Zhongchuan Airport to Wuwei Section, under the careful organization and coordination of China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group, the progress of the project has been accelerated. The control project, the new Wushaoling Tunnel, has been completed two months ahead of schedule. The main line project has been smoothly advanced, and the whole line has the conditions for early completion and operation.

In 2023, we will further strengthen our work, do a good job in service guarantee, and make every effort to ensure the smooth implementation of the Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou Third and Fourth Railway Project. We sincerely hope that China Railway Lanzhou Railway Bureau Group will continue to support the economic and social development of Wuwei, support the construction of the Lanzhou-Zhanghai Third and Fourth Railway Project, and strive to complete and open the Zhongchuan Airport-Wuwei Section Project as soon as possible, and the Wuwei-Zhangye Section Project will be fully commenced.

Wang Guobin introduced the economic and social development of the city, and reported on the specific issues that need to be supported in accelerating the construction of the Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou Third and Fourth Railway Project and the construction of the Zhongchuan Airport-Wuwei Section.

Di Wei said that since the construction of the Zhongchuan Airport-Wuwei Section of the Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou Third and Fourth Line Railway was started, China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group and Wuwei City have strengthened communication and cooperation, and the project construction has accelerated. China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group will strengthen the organization and coordination of the project from Zhongchuan Airport to Wuwei Section, go all out to speed up the project construction progress, actively and orderly advance the preliminary work of the project from Wuwei to Zhangye Section, and ensure that the construction will start this year and benefit the people along the line.

Construction content

The project is located in Gansu Province. The line starts from the Wuwei East Station in the Zhongchuan-Wuwei section of the Jian-Lan-Zhangzhou-4 Line, passes through Liangzhou District of Wuwei City, Yongchang County and Jinchuan District of Jinchang City, Shandan County and Ganzhou District of Zhangye City, and finally connects to the Zhangye West Station of Lanzhou-Xinjiang High-speed Railway, with a total length of more than 240 kilometers. The railway grade of this line is high-speed railway, and the design speed is 250km/h. There are four new stations, Zhuwangbao, Jinchangnan, Hongwan and Shandan North, and two existing connecting stations, Wuwei East and Zhangye West.

At the same time, we will continue to support the economic and social development of Wuwei, further support the development of Wuwei's cultural tourism industry, strive to open and operate the Tianma tourism special train in April, increase the degree of attracting tourists into the force, and better serve the high-quality development of local economy and society.
