The Indian government plans to start 100 airport projects by the end of 2024. VK Singh announced the plan in a written reply from Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's parliament. He said the government would develop the facilities as part of its regional connectivity plan.
The minister commented that AAI and other airport operators aim to invest around $13 billion in capital expenditure in the Indian airports sector by 2025 for the construction of greenfield airports and terminals, expansions and existing airports.
