It is reported that in 2022, 234 provincial-level major projects completed an investment of 264.8 billion yuan, an increase of 58.8 billion yuan or 29% compared with 2021, and the annual planned investment completion rate was 119%. In 2023, Gansu Province will focus on promoting the construction of 287 provincial-level major projects in eight major fields, with a total investment of 1651.2 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 251.1 billion yuan, an increase of 13% over 2022. The number of projects and annual planned investment will reach a new high.

Among them, 119 new projects are planned to be launched, with an annual planned investment of 97.5 billion yuan; 148 projects to be continued, with an annual planned investment of 148.3 billion yuan; There are 20 preparatory projects with an annual planned investment of 5.3 billion yuan. This time, 900 major projects of more than 100 million yuan have been launched in Gansu Province, with an annual planned investment of 217.6 billion yuan. There are 75 major provincial projects. The commencement of construction of these major projects will certainly inject more powerful impetus and provide more powerful support for maintaining the rapid growth trend of major project construction in Gansu Province.

Gansu Zhongke Lithium Battery Project

The main venue project, Gansu Zhongke Integrated Construction Project with an annual output of 100000 tons of lithium battery cathode materials, is a major provincial project in 2023. The project is located in the urban mineral and surface treatment industrial park of Lanzhou New Area, with a total land area of 650 mu and a total investment of 4 billion yuan. It is jointly constructed by Hunan Zhongke Electric Co., Ltd. and BYD (65% by Zhongke and 35% by BYD).

It is mainly to build an integrated production base of 100000 tons of lithium battery anode materials, including anode and graphitization production lines, warehouses, office buildings, staff dormitories, canteens, substations and other facilities. The construction will start in February 2023, and it is planned to complete and put into operation in March 2026.

After the completion of the project, it is expected to achieve an annual operating income of 4 billion yuan, an annual tax payment of 250 million yuan and more than 1500 jobs. The implementation of the project will provide strong support for the extension, supplement and strengthening of the chain of lithium battery related industries in Lanzhou New Area, accelerate the formation of industrial clusters led by lithium battery anode and cathode materials, electrolyte, copper and aluminum foil auxiliary materials, and further help Lanzhou New Area to build a new material industrial cluster of 100 billion level in the western region.Editor/Ma Xue
