On February 15, 2023, the reporter of Jiandao.com learned that the feasibility study report of the Chengdu-Deyang Line of the Sichuan Municipal (Suburban) Railway was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, marking that the Chengdu-Deyang Line of the Municipal (Suburban) Railway (hereinafter referred to as the S11 Line) will enter the stage of full construction.

Line S11 is an important strategic project to accelerate the integrated development of the construction of the two-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing region, build the two-city economic circle on the track with high efficiency and high level, implement the coordinated development strategy of the provincial party committee with one branch and five districts, and improve the core energy level of the Chengdu metropolitan area. The feasibility study has been approved to press the fast-forward key for the construction of Line S11.

The main line of Line S11 connects the urban area of Chengdu and Deyang, connects the North Railway Station Group, Fenghuangshan Group, North Trade City Group, New Junma Group, Mengyang New Town, Guanghan Xiangyang Group, Sanxingdui Group, Deyang Tianfu Jingcheng Group, starts at Weijianian Station, transfers with Line 1, Line 5, Line 9, Line 18, Line 27, Line 28, Line 32, and Line S1, and ends at Deyang North Railway Station. The line is mainly laid from south to north along Beixing Avenue, Chengde Avenue, North Extension Line of Tianfu Avenue (under construction), Honghu Road and Taishan Road, and runs from south to northeast.

The total length of the S11 line is about 70.845 kilometers, including 30.619 kilometers in Chengdu and 40.226 kilometers in Deyang; The design maximum speed is 160km/h; There are totally 15 train stations (tentative names) in the whole line, including Weijianian Station, Fengtai Third Road Station, Friendship Station, Dujianian Station, International Trade City Station, Banzhuyuan Station, Majia Station, Mengyang Station, Sanxingdui Station, Tianfu Jingcheng Station, Deyang South Station, Sichuan Jianyuan Station, Wuzhou Square Station, Wenmiao Square Station, Deyang North Station, including 5 elevated stations and 10 underground stations. 1 Deyang North Vehicle Base; One Fenghuangshan parking lot, three main substations and one control center.

The S11 line project is an important transportation infrastructure connecting with the Chengdu metropolitan line network, and is the main channel between Deyang and Chengdu.
