Recently, the CRCC Railway Fourth Institute will take the lead in establishing an international standard working group joined by experts from seven countries to preside over the formulation of international standards in the field of railway electrification technology. This is the first time that China has presided over the formulation of international standards in this field.

According to Li Hongmei, the convener of the working group and a professor-level senior engineer of the Railway Fourth Academy, the International Standard Proposal "Rail Transit Train Excessive Phase System Matching Technology" was chaired by the Iron Fourth Academy and submitted to the International Electrotechnical Commission Rail Transit Electrical Equipment and System Technical Committee on behalf of China. The Guidelines have been voted by member states. In the next three years, SIYUAN will lead the establishment of an international working group and organize railway experts from 7 countries including China, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, and Switzerland to jointly draft the standard.

It is understood that the catenary used by the railway to supply power to trains adopts a phase-splitting, segmented single-phase power supply method, and there is a section of no-electric isolation phase-splitting area every 10 to 30 kilometers. When the train is over-phased, there will be potential safety hazards such as power outage or electrified phase-splitting. It is necessary to formulate a set of matching criteria for the train over-phased system to ensure the safety and reliability of railway transportation.

China hosts international standards in the field of railway electrification technology for the first time

Li Hongmei said that the new international standard aims to formulate the mutual matching criteria of the train over-phase system, which is used to standardize the lines, stations, bridges, tunnels, traction power supply, traction substation, catenary, etc. covered by the train over-phase system in engineering and operation. The train control system, on-board system, signaling system, train depot (station) and other subsystems and the matching requirements of main equipment parameters, to standardize the system functions of train control power-off phase separation or ground equipment control electrification phase separation, to ensure the realization of train transition Phase transportation reliability, reducing maintenance and repair costs caused by risks such as excessive phase failures.
