At this stage, Malawi is in the rainy season, and the road conditions in the Chikwa area where the Shire Valley reconstruction project is located are relatively poor. Except for one main asphalt road, the rest of the roads are dirt roads and gravel roads. A community road 2 kilometers away from the project camp is full of potholes, and the heavy rainfall since the rainy season has washed away the road. After the project department learned of the situation, in order to facilitate the travel of community residents, and do more good and practical things for local residents, a special meeting was held at the first time, careful deployment was organized, personnel were organized to set up a road repair team, and materials, machinery and other repair materials were coordinated. Participate in the emergency repair work of community roads. During the road repair process, the project department mobilized 14 employees, 1 excavator, 1 loader, 1 road roller, 1 motor grader, and 3 dump trucks. It took a total of 6 days to repair 2.5 kilometers of roads for the community. It has effectively alleviated the difficulty of travel for local residents during the rainy season.

The behavior of the project department to do practical things for local residents has continued to add impetus to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and has also been praised and thanked by local community residents, project owners, and relevant departments of the local government. In the follow-up, the project department will do a good job in project performance, and complete the Shire Valley Reconstruction Project, a major livelihood project, as soon as possible, so that the project can benefit 220,000 people in southern Malawi as soon as possible.
