On February 22, 2023, Anhui Wuhu GCL Integrated 20GW high-efficiency TOPCon photovoltaic cell manufacturing phase I 10GW project officially started, which means that GCL Integrated N-type battery capacity layout officially kicked off.

According to reports, the Wuhu battery project adopts the most potential N-type TOPCon high-efficiency battery technology at present, and selects the world's leading automatic cell production equipment to create a large-scale, digital, and intelligent high-efficiency photovoltaic cell R&D and manufacturing base. The total design capacity of the project is 20GW, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan, of which the first phase of 10GW is expected to be completed and put into operation in July 2023, and the second phase of the 10GW project company will raise funds through non-public issuance of shares to invest in construction.

At present, the N-type era of the photovoltaic industry has come. Shu Hua said that the N-type TOPCon technology has become the main force to promote the industry's upgrade from P-type to N-type due to its certainty in improving efficiency and reducing costs, and its high cost performance. GCL Integration has a clear plan for the future efficiency improvement, cost reduction and production expansion path of N-type TOPCon. The company will take the Wuhu project as a starting point to form a collaborative competitive advantage at the end of the industrial chain and become an important promoter and participant of the new generation of photovoltaic technology.

In 2022, with the 15GW production capacity of the first phase of the GCL Integrated Hefei module base fully reaching production capacity, its large-scale advantages will be highlighted, and the company's large-scale photovoltaic module technology advantages, cost advantages and management advantages will be fully utilized, and the company's profitability and core competitiveness will be enhanced. Competitiveness, the fundamentals of GCL Integration have undergone positive changes, and the operating indicators continue to improve. The performance forecast shows that it is expected to achieve a net profit attributable to the parent of 36.8 million to 55 million yuan in 2022, an increase of 101.86% - 102.77% over the same period in 2021.
