Over the past 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Mongolia relations have developed rapidly, which has written a vivid footnote for China's peripheral foreign policy.

In 1959, the Yalmarg Bridge connected the two banks of the Tula River and became a landmark project of China's aid in the construction of Mongolia in the 1950s; on its east side, in 2018, a new overpass was erected. The landmark project of the docking between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Mongolian Prairie Road Initiative has become a vivid example of the continuous deepening of the friendship between the two countries and the benefits of cooperation between the two countries.

Just in September 2022, Mongolia's first heavy-duty railway line from Tawang Tolgoi Coal Mine to Gashusuhaitu Port was completed and opened to traffic, which greatly enhanced Mongolia's ability to export minerals to China and to third countries through Chinese ports. At the opening ceremony, Hurelsukh said that this railway will become a catalyst for the future development of Mongolia.

Mongolian President Khurelsukh: We must promote the docking of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping with Mongolia's grassland road development strategy. This not only effectively promotes our bilateral cooperative relations, but also vigorously promotes regional development, consolidates cooperative relations among various countries, and provides a strong guarantee for realizing our lofty goals and promoting the implementation of major construction projects. Therefore, Mongolia has always expressed support for the Belt and Road Initiative and is willing to cooperate with all parties within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.Editor/Ma Xue
