Recently, the Diqiuni Community Hospital, which was donated by the 8.12 consortium of Power China Uganda's Karuma Hydropower Station, was successfully completed and a handover ceremony was held.

Diqiuni Community Hospital Project

The Diqiuni Community Hospital project completed this time is the second hospital that PowerChina donated to the local area while undertaking the construction of the Karuma Hydropower Station. The construction cost of the project is about 1.5 million US dollars. The completed and handed-over main body includes outpatient building, examination room, treatment room, consultation room, general outpatient room, laboratory, anti-HIV treatment room, radiation room, physical therapy room, pharmacy, disinfection room, Reference room, injection room, waiting area, meeting room, etc., equipped with blood pressure measuring instruments, microscopes and laboratory instruments, eye, ear, nose and throat examination instruments, vaccine and drug storage refrigerators, physiotherapy facilities, ultrasound scanners and other medical equipment, tables and chairs furniture etc.; newly build 2 sets of dormitories for medical staff, including bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, storage rooms, kitchens and related supporting facilities, as well as pumping and water supply (including rainwater collection), solar energy, hospital fences and gates, etc.
