The 20 major power grid construction projects, including the 500 kV Xinyu Substation, which were started this time, have a total investment of 2.82 billion yuan, a new substation capacity of 2.2467 million kVA, and a new line length of 1860.94 kilometers. Counties, cities, and districts will further strengthen the grid structure in Shangrao after it is put into operation to efficiently meet the demand for a sharp increase in load brought about by the economic and social development of Shangrao City. At that time, with 500 kV as the skeleton and 220 kV as the support, each A strong power grid with coordinated level grids and reliable power supply in urban and rural areas will appear on the land of eastern Jiangxi.

Xinyu 500 kV substation

According to reports, the Xinyu 500 kV substation is located in the southwest of Hengshan Village, Luoqiao Street, Guangxin District, Shangrao City, covering an area of 101.7 acres, with a transformation capacity of 1 million kVA, supporting 2 500 kV lines and 5 220 kV lines The total length of the line is 102.5 kilometers. Xinyu Substation is the fifth 500 kV substation in Shangrao. As the number one project of this construction activity, it will meet the load growth demand of Xinshang area of Shangrao City after completion, reduce the power supply pressure of 500 kV Xinzhou substation, and expand the power supply area of Shangrao by 500 thousand volt coverage, optimize and strengthen the 220 kV grid structure in the south of Shangrao, and improve the power supply reliability of the power grid in the south of Shangrao.

It is reported that in 2023, State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power Co., Ltd. will further increase investment in Shangrao Power Grid.
