The Pinglu Canal begins at the mouth of the Pingtang River in the Xijin Reservoir Area of the main stream of the Xijiang River, crosses the watershed between the Shaping River and the Jiuzhou River, a tributary of the Qin River, passes through Luwu Town, Lingshan County, Qinzhou City, and goes south along the main stream of the Qin River to the Qinzhou Port in the Beibu Gulf. The overall length of the Pinglu Canal is 134.2 kilometers, of which the Shaping River section is 20.7 kilometers, the watershed section is 29.3 kilometers, and the Qinjiang main stream section is 48.5 kilometers. The main dimension is 6.3 meters × 90 meters × 450 meters; the length of the channel in the offshore section of the estuary is 14.3 kilometers, and the main dimension of the channel is 6.5 meters × 130 meters × 540 meters.
