According to reports, the 30 major projects started this time have a total investment of 28.69 billion yuan, of which 3.91 billion yuan is planned to be invested in 2023, including 11 major livelihood security projects such as the Municipal Elderly Care Center, and new houses on the G351 Mazhai-Jiangbei section of the road. 5 major transportation projects such as the Zhouguan section project, 7 major manufacturing projects such as the annual production of 5GWH batteries in Liweineng, and 7 major urban infrastructure projects such as the Changsonggang Functional Zone Municipal and Infrastructure Construction Project in the Economic Development Zone project. Among them, the Shimatan Reservoir Project has a total investment of about 4 billion yuan. It is the largest water conservancy project invested in Dongyang City in recent years. After completion, it will effectively improve the use of water resources and the water ecological environment, and promote the realization of hydration in Dongyang.

Shimatan Reservoir Project

Shimatan Reservoir Project consists of West Reservoir, East Reservoir and Connecting Project. The Xiku dam site is located 20 meters upstream of the dam site of Shima Keng Reservoir and 350 meters upstream of Shima Village. The dam type is a concrete face rockfill dam with a maximum dam height of 97.0 meters, a normal water storage level of 210.00 meters, and a total storage capacity of 37.07 million Cubic meters; the Dongku dam site is located about 900m upstream of Shankou Village, Weishan Town, Pankengxi. The dam type is a concrete face rockfill dam. The maximum dam height is 71.0 meters, the normal water storage level is 210.00 meters, and the total storage capacity is 7.14 million cubic meters; The connectivity project includes Panxi Barrage, Dongfanghongdi Water Pumping Station, Dongpan Water Diversion Tunnel, Panshi Connecting Tunnel, Panshi Water Diversion Tunnel, etc. The total length of the water diversion tunnel is 22.6 kilometers.

After the completion of the Shimatan Reservoir, all the tributaries in the North Dongyang area can be concentrated, and the floods from the Panxi in the Jiangbei area, the Pankeng in the Weishan area, and the Dongfanghong Reservoir will be introduced into the Shimatan Reservoir to effectively regulate and store the Dongyang North area. With a catchment area of 103.7 square kilometers of incoming water, the newly added water supply capacity is more than 35 million cubic meters, which can relieve the water supply pressure in Dongyang and Yiwu, give full play to the flood control function of the reservoir, and further optimize the flood control pattern in the northern part of Dongyang.
