The offshore wind power project at the South U site of the National Power Investment Peninsula is located in the sea area on the south side of Rushan, Weihai. The center of the site is 24 kilometers away from the coast, with an average water depth of 25-31 meters. As the third offshore wind power project invested and constructed by the State Power Investment Group Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. in Shandong, the planned sea area is 113.98 square kilometers, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan and a total installed capacity of 900 megawatts.

The project will be constructed in two phases, with an investment of 5.3 billion yuan in the first phase. 53 wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 8.5 MW will be installed, a 220 kV offshore booster station and an onshore centralized control center will be equipped, and 47 kilometers of 220 kV submarine cables and 58 kilometers of 66 kV submarine cables will be laid. It is expected to achieve full capacity grid connection by the end of August; In the second phase, 53 wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 8.5 megawatts are planned to be built, laying 47 kilometers of 220 kV submarine cables and 78 kilometers of 66 kV submarine cables. It is expected to achieve full capacity grid connection by the end of November. After the project is put into operation, the annual power generation will be 2.7 billion kWh, which can effectively replace 830000 tons of standard coal and reduce 2.155 million tons of carbon dioxide.

It is reported that the first phase of the offshore wind power project at the South U site of the Peninsula of the State Power Investment Corporation uses the MySE8.5-230 intelligent unit, and the hub center height is about 130 meters from the sea level, equivalent to the height of 45 floors; The diameter of fan impeller is 230 meters, which is equivalent to the width of four Boeing 747s side-by-side; The sweeping area of the wind wheel is about 5.8 standard football fields. "MySE8.5-230 unit is a new generation of semi-direct-drive unit customized based on the characteristics of wind resources and sea conditions in Shandong, which is characterized by small size, light weight and high efficiency.

At the same time, the system can maintain excellent stability and reliability under the adjustment of self-learning, adaptive and other advanced algorithms. " The person in charge of Mingyang Intelligent introduced that it is equipped with a full-power converter to achieve reliable high and low voltage ride-through capability and grid adaptability; Adopt closed water cooling circulation system, engine room maintenance track and integrated engine room cabinet to greatly reduce fan failure rate; Relying on the new generation of control system, the whole life cycle digital design, production, operation and maintenance will comprehensively improve the intelligent management level of wind turbines.

As the "brain" of offshore wind farms, the onshore centralized control center is responsible for remote monitoring of wind turbines, managing and dispatching the operation of wind farms. The operation status data of wind turbines, offshore booster stations and connecting submarine cables are transmitted to the centralized control center for analysis and processing; At the same time, the control adjustment command is sent to the terminal equipment from here.

Onshore centralized control center

It is reported that the onshore centralized control center is located in the southeast of Xiaohong Village, Rushan, Weihai, covering an area of 29200 square meters. A production and office complex operation and maintenance building, 220 kV power distribution device, reactor, dynamic step-down transformer without compensation, 35 kV switch cabinet, dynamic reactive power compensation device, station power distribution room and other facilities will be constructed. The main structure construction of buildings and structures is planned to be completed by the end of March 2023, and the electrical installation and commissioning are planned to be completed by the end of June, so that the power receiving conditions are available.
