On March 4, 2023, with the successful hoisting of the first track row at Chailou Station, the northern section of Tianjin Metro Line 4, which was constructed by China Railway Tianjin Rail Transit Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. The construction of the northern section of Line 4 has entered a new stage.

Tianjin Metro Line 4 Northern Section Project

The northern section of Tianjin Metro Line 4 starts from a small street in Beichen District in the north, ends at Hebei Street in Hongqiao District in the south, and passes through Beichen District, Hebei District and Hongqiao District along the line. China Railway is currently one of the largest subway PPP projects invested in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and it is also the first subway line in Tianjin where investment, construction, and operation are carried out simultaneously.

Three track-laying bases will be set up for the track-laying project on the whole line. Seven sets of mechanical equipment are expected to be invested in the peak period, and the daily track-laying mileage can reach 600m. This track laying construction focuses on strengthening the application of new technologies. Not only the application of new energy rail intelligent laser derusting equipment, double-track synchronous electromagnetic induction normalizing operation vehicles, improved the quality of seamless line rail welding construction, but also introduced the same construction standards as high-speed rail The advanced CPⅢ track control network fine-tuning technology can reduce track level, elevation, direction and other errors to 0.5mm, further improve track smoothness, and greatly improve the safety, stability and ride comfort of subway vehicles.
