All countries in the world are seeking to speed up energy transformation. China's coastal provinces are actively promoting the development of offshore wind power, and offshore wind power is moving forward at a high speed! Recently, an on-site promotion meeting for the construction of major projects for high-quality development in Shandong was held. This time, more than 1,000 major projects have been started, covering areas such as industrial upgrading, infrastructure, platform construction, and people's livelihood security. The annual planned investment is 400.6 billion yuan, and the investment has exceeded 1 billion yuan There are 306 yuan projects, and strategic emerging industry projects account for more than 60%.

Among them, the construction of the onshore centralized control center of the offshore wind power project at the South U site of the Shandong Peninsula of the State Power Investment Corporation has started construction. This is an important part of the project and is known as the "brain" of the offshore wind farm.

The onshore centralized control center is the onshore part of the U site project of the wind power base in the South China Sea of the Peninsula. In the future, 177 wind power intelligent generator sets will be deployed in a concentrated manner on the sea, with a total installed capacity of 1,500 megawatts. After reaching production capacity, it can reduce carbon emissions every year 3.7 million tons. According to the plan, by the end of 2023, the 1,500 MW will be connected to the grid at full capacity. Time is tight and tasks are heavy. Now, the project founder is pushing forward the construction "progress bar" at full speed.

SPIC Shandong Peninsula South U Site Offshore Wind Power Project Planning Map The SPIC Peninsula South U site offshore wind power project is located in the sea area south of Rushan, Weihai. The center of the site is 24 kilometers away from the coast, with an average water depth of 25-31 meters. As the third offshore wind power project invested and constructed by State Power Investment Corporation Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. in Shandong, it plans to use a sea area of 113.98 square kilometers, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan and a total installed capacity of 900 MW. It will be constructed in two phases.

The first-phase investment is 5.3 billion yuan, with 53 sets of Mingyang Smart MySE8.5-230 generating units, supporting a 220 kV offshore step-up station and onshore centralized control center, laying 47 kilometers of 220 kV submarine cables, 66 kV The 58-kilometer submarine cable is expected to be connected to the grid at full capacity by the end of August.

The second phase plans to build 53 wind turbines with a single-unit capacity of 8.5 MW, and lay 47 kilometers of 220 kV submarine cables and 78 kilometers of 66 kV submarine cables. It is expected to achieve full capacity grid connection by the end of November. After the project is fully put into operation, the annual power generation will be 2.7 billion kwh, which can effectively replace 830,000 tons of standard coal and reduce 2.155 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Luo Chaofa, deputy general manager of SPIC Shandong Ocean Energy Development Co., Ltd., said: "Currently our onshore centralized control center has started construction, and offshore we plan to start mass production by the end of February, including offshore installations, towers, and extensions. After the project is put into operation, it will generate 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours of power generation every year, driving the growth of local economic construction of 30 billion yuan in GDP."
