The Nam Ou River is the largest tributary in Laos on the left bank of the Mekong River, and it is also a hydropower resource base actively promoted by the Lao government. On this "golden waterway" stands the largest project invested by Power China in Laos - the cascade hydropower station in the Nam Ou River Basin. The seven power stations are like seven bright pearls inlaid on the Nam Ou River, guaranteeing 12% of Laos' electricity supply and becoming A model of production capacity cooperation between China and Laos.

The construction of hydropower stations on the Nanou River by Chinese companies has also brought an unexpected benefit to local residents—immigrant villages. "We will ensure that all the reservoir immigrants affected by the construction of the hydropower station project and the water storage of the power station are relocated, and the original living standards will not be lowered, and the long-term livelihood will be more secure!" said the person in charge of the resettlement of the cascade hydropower stations in the Nam Ou River Basin of China Power Construction Laos. express.

Since the start of the project, China and Laos have adhered to the concept of win-win cooperation, planned and built 30 new immigrant villages, involving 11,142 villagers from 2,161 households, supporting the reconstruction and expansion of more than 500 kilometers of roads, and the construction of more than 20 bridges of various types. Today, approaching the cascade hydropower station in the Nan'ou River Basin, you can see the immigrant villages neatly arranged along with the majestic power station. The Nairobi Park Road low-income housing project undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation carries the "dream of living in peace" of many Kenyans.

The Nairobi Park Road affordable housing project consists of several new orange and gray high-rise residential buildings, with a total of 1,200 households. The project officially started on February 5, 2019, completed the completion acceptance on October 22, 2020, and officially received the performance certificate issued by the owner on November 9, 2021.

Kenya's urban population accounts for 22% of the total population and is growing at a rate of about 4.2% per year. The rapidly growing urban population has put forward more demand for housing. According to a national housing survey report released by the Kenyan government, Kenya has a housing shortage of more than 200,000 units per year. In order to solve the housing problem of low- and middle-income groups, the Nairobi Park Road affordable housing project came into being.
