Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the development of Ningxia's wind power clean energy industry has been booming. Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region released the implementation plan for carbon peaking in the energy sector of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The plan pointed out that the role of cross-provincial and cross-regional power transmission channels in a large-scale optimal allocation of resources should be fully utilized, local consumption capacity should be tapped, and a number of million-kilowatt wind power photovoltaic bases should be built based on deserts, Gobi, deserts, and coal mining subsidence areas.

Steadily promote the construction of centralized and affordable wind power and the development of decentralized wind energy resources, accelerate the technical upgrading of old wind power projects, promote high-tower, high-power, long-bladed fans and advanced technologies, and actively develop low-wind-speed wind power.

Improve the utilization efficiency of high-quality wind and light resources and land utilization, and improve the power generation efficiency of existing new energy projects. Accelerate the application of distributed photovoltaics in various fields, innovatively implement distributed photovoltaics + "photovoltaics +" projects such as industry, commerce, campuses, communities, and transportation, actively promote the development of photovoltaic building integration, and effectively increase the proportion of photovoltaic applications on the user side.

Yanchi 120MW Photovoltaic Composite Power Generation Project

Accelerate the construction of distributed wind power in load centers and surrounding areas. By 2025, the total installed capacity of wind power and solar power will reach 17.5 million kilowatts and 32.5 million kilowatts respectively. By 2030, the total installed capacity of wind power and solar power will reach 24.5 million kilowatts and more than 50 million kilowatts respectively, and new energy power generation will shift from supplementary power to main power.
