On March 11, 2023, the reporter learned from CNOOC Tianjin Branch that the cumulative crude oil production of Suizhong 36-1 Oilfield, China's largest offshore self-operated oilfield, exceeded 100 million cubic meters.

It is understood that the Suizhong 36-1 oil field is located in the ice area at 40 degrees north latitude. It is a heavy oil field and its development is very difficult. CNOOC has independently mastered offshore heavy oil development technology, and has the ability to independently develop offshore large-scale integrated oil fields and heavy oil fields. In 1993, the Suizhong 36-1 oilfield test area was successfully completed and put into production, becoming the first offshore modern oilfield self-explored and developed by China, which is a milestone in the development history of China's offshore oil industry.

In 2009, with the completion and operation of the Suizhong power grid, the stability of power consumption in the oilfield has been significantly improved, and the probability of electric pump failure caused by abnormal shutdown has been greatly reduced. In order to promote the intelligent management of oilfields, since 2016, Suizhong 36-1 Oilfield has increased the application of cabled and cableless intelligent injection technology, and has continued to improve with the goal of increasing the utilization rate. After nearly 30 years of rolling development, the Suizhong 36-1 Oilfield has 19 production platforms, with an annual output of more than 5 million cubic meters of crude oil at its peak.

At present, there are 70 oil wells in the Suizhong 36-1 oilfield that have been in operation for more than 2,000 days, of which 32 oil wells have been in operation for more than 3,000 days. In addition, the oilfield has cultivated 7 oil wells with a cumulative production of over one million cubic meters, and achieved an annual oil and gas equivalent of over 3.5 million cubic meters for 12 consecutive years.Editor / He Yurong
