Among them, the main project of Tongcheng Pumped Storage Power Station was officially started; the design project of Taishan Huangmaogang Pumped Storage Power Station was won.
Tongcheng Pumped Storage Power Station
Recently, the main project of Anhui Tongcheng Pumped Storage Power Station, a key energy construction project of the National 14th Five-Year Plan, officially started construction. The project was undertaken by the 12th Hydropower Bureau of Power China, the 8th Hydropower Bureau undertook the third-party civil inspection task, the Northwest Institute undertook the supervision task, and the Central South Institute undertook the safety monitoring task. The power station is located in Tongcheng City, Anhui Province, with a total installed capacity of 1,280 MW. It is mainly composed of upper reservoirs, lower reservoirs, water delivery systems, plant systems and permanent traffic roads. The designed annual power generation capacity is 2.144 billion kWh, and the annual pumping power is 2.859 billion kwh.
After the completion of the power station, it can reduce coal consumption by about 116,000 tons and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 300,000 tons per year. It will greatly optimize the power structure of the power grid in Anhui Province, effectively alleviate the peak-shaving contradictions of the power grid in Anhui Province, and enhance the rapid response capability of the power grid in Anhui Province. Effectively serve and drive local economic and social development, and contribute to the early realization of the country's dual carbon goals.
Taishan Huangmaogang Pumped Storage Power Station
Recently, the Chengdu Research Institute affiliated to Power China won the bid for the investigation and design project of the pre-feasibility study stage of the Taishan Huangmaogang Pumped Storage Power Station.
The Huangmaogang Pumped Storage Power Station is a national medium and long-term planning reserve project, with an originally planned installed capacity of 800 MW. Taking full advantage of planning and planning, Chengdu Research Institute suggested and promoted Huangmaogang Pumped Storage Power Station to carry out planning and deepening research work on the basis of the original planning, and initially adjusted the planned installed capacity. The initial installed capacity in the pre-feasibility study stage is 1200 MW. After the power station is completed, it will undertake tasks such as peak regulation, valley filling, frequency regulation, phase regulation and emergency backup of Guangdong Zhuhai Southwest Power Grid.
