Recently, the Niuping Tunnel and other projects of the Jiangxi section of the Ruijin-Meizhou Railway have been under construction one after another, which means that the main project of the Jiangxi section of the Ruijin-Meizhou Railway has officially entered the construction stage.

Jiangxi Section of Ruimei Railway

According to reports, the Ruimei Railway starts from Ruijin City in Jiangxi Province in the north, passes through Huichang County, Anyuan County, and Xunwu County in the south, passes through Pingyuan County and Meijiang District in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, and connects to Meizhou on the Zhangping-Longchuan Railway stand. The total length of the main line is 240.29 kilometers, of which the Jiangxi section is 165.23 kilometers, and the design speed is 160 kilometers per hour. It is a national Class I single-track electrified passenger and freight railway. The Jiangxi section of Ruimei Railway is expected to have a construction period of 4.5 years. There are 7 stations on the whole line, including Ruijin Station, Tianxin Station, Huichang Station, Anyuan Station, Xunwu Station, Pingyuan Station and Meizhou Station. Among them, Tianxin Station, Huichang Station, Anyuan Station Station, Xunwu Station, and Pingyuan Station are new stations, while Ruijin Station and Meizhou Station are existing stations.

It is understood that the Ruimei Railway crosses the mountains and is a typical mountain railway. The terrain along the line is dominated by low and medium mountains and hills, and some are intermountain valleys and river terraces. The terrain is undulating and steep. There are 134 bridges and 88 tunnels along the whole line, and the bridge-tunnel ratio is as high as 73.88%. Among them, Niuping Tunnel, Jingshan Tunnel, Jing'anshan Tunnel, Sanbaishan Tunnel and other projects are key control projects in Jiangxi section.

Hong Jun, deputy commander of the Ruimei Railway Headquarters of China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd., introduced that the Ruimei Railway is one of the 102 key projects identified in the National 14th Five-Year Plan. After the Ruimei Railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will help to further improve the road network structure in southern Jiangxi and northeastern Guangdong, strengthen the traffic links between the old revolutionary base area and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and between eastern Guangdong and the central region, so as to facilitate the travel of people along the line and promote The economic and social development along the route is of great significance to assisting the construction of high-quality development demonstration areas in the old revolutionary base areas in southern Jiangxi and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
