Jiangsu is located at the intersection of the Belt and Road Initiative. Currently, it operates 13 international routes, 4 domestic branch routes for foreign trade, and 35 transit routes for domestic trade. A total of 56 domestic and foreign trade container routes have been opened, covering 35 major domestic ports such as the Yangtze River Delta, North and South, and nearly 15 international basic ports such as Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. The service scope covers more than 60% of the countries along the Belt and Road, and the shipping area covers More than 1,000 ports in more than 100 countries and regions have contributed to Jiangsu's improvement of the level and ability of direct access to the blue ocean economy.

In order to better serve the logistics needs along the Belt and Road, COSCO Jiangsu made overall plans for the shipping service system, and made every effort to promote the construction of domestic integrated stations. Through nearly 30 comprehensive cargo collection stations, it can cover Jiangsu, the Yangtze River, canals and important coastal cities. Create convenient conditions for the flow of goods from Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. At the same time, there are overseas cooperative agencies in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries, actively soliciting import and export goods, and striving to promote bilateral trade.

Through near-sea route transportation and domestic trade transportation, open up the export routes from major inland river ports on the Yangtze River such as Nanjing, Chongqing, Wuhan, Huangshi, Jiujiang, Wuhu, and Ma'anshan to Southeast Asia, release the efficiency of water-water combined transport channels, and use the southern and northern Jiangsu canals Cooperatively develop routes from Taizhou, Yangzhou, Nantong, Jiangyin, Yixing, Suqian, Xuzhou, Huai'an and other regions to Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia to create a better logistics environment for promoting the construction of the Belt and Road and market integration.

In recent years, in order to reserve and serve the shipping resources along the Belt and Road, COSCO Jiangsu has accelerated the upgrading of ships and continued to optimize its capacity structure. By October 2022, all 8 newly built ships including electric ships, bulk carriers and container ships will be put into operation, and the scale of Jiangsu COSCO fleet will be further improved. The number of self-owned ships will increase to 33, with a total deadweight of 141.5 The average age of the fleet is 7 years. In order to speed up the pace of going global, COSCO Jiangsu has expanded its business scope through extensive external cooperation, implemented the canal strategy to build a shipping business collaboration platform, opened up new channels such as the central and western regions, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Shandong-Henan region, and exported to Southeast Asia via Taicang Port. Mainstream liner companies cooperate to cover shipping logistics services to Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, Europe and North America, Latin America and other regions.

At present, more than ten international liner companies have made centralized bookings. In 2022, COSCO Jiangsu will book a total of 73,100 tickets. At the same time, actively explore land-to-water, bulk-to-concentration, sea-rail combined transport and other businesses, build foreign trade rail-water combined transport routes such as Anhui-Nanjing-Japan, Southeast Asia, etc., rely on coke, Russian Railway Plate, etc. to develop domestic trade rail-water combined transport channels, and extend sea-rail combined transport to North Jiangsu, Northern Anhui, North China, Northwest and other regions, through the construction of information platforms such as Taihai Zhihang and container transportation integration, realize the interconnection of domestic and foreign trade container management data, and better serve the construction of the Belt and Road with smoother and more efficient logistics.
