On March 10, 2023, the three-tower cable-stayed bridge with the largest span in the world that CRBBG participated in - Ma'anshan Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge E8E9 large section steel girder completed the lifting and erection, marking the realization of the biggest bottleneck in the construction of the upper steel structure of the bridge main bridge breakthrough. The steel girder erection process of the whole bridge is the most stringent, the precision is the highest, the difficulty is the most difficult, and the tooling requirements are the most complicated.

The Ma'anshan Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge is a controlling project of the Chaoma Intercity Railway. It starts from Hexian County, Anhui Province, passes through the middle section of Jiangxinzhou, and reaches Dangtu County. The steel girders of the bridge are 3,248 meters long, which will create many world records: the design of three towers and two main spans, with a single span of 1,120 meters and a continuous span of double spans of 2,240 meters, is the world's largest three-tower cable-stayed bridge; the height of the middle tower is 345 meters , equivalent to a 115-story building.

CRBBG mainly undertakes 37 sections of the GL01 contract section of the bridge, with a total weight of more than 56,000 tons, of which the E8E9 section is located at the Z2 auxiliary pier. The thickness specifications of the plates used have been increased, and steel structural parts such as bridge portal frames and anchor boxes have been added to make the weight reach 1764 tons, which is also the heaviest steel beam segment among all steel structure segments of the bridge.
After the completion of the Ma'anshan highway-rail dual-purpose Yangtze River Bridge, it will have a far-reaching impact on further optimizing the layout of the regional expressway network, facilitating the travel of people along the line, and promoting the integrated high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Yangtze River Delta.Editor / He Yurong
