On March 15, 2023, Inner Mongolia Daxin Energy Co., Ltd. held the first phase of 100,000 tons of high-purity polysilicon production and the second phase of 100,000 tons of high-purity polysilicon project.

Xu Xiang, President of Daqo Group, introduced the commissioning of the first phase of the project and the commencement of the second phase. It is reported that Inner Mongolia Daxin Energy Co., Ltd. invested 8.55 billion yuan in the first phase of the high-purity polysilicon project with an annual output of 100,000 tons. Construction started in May 2022. It took only 10 months from the start of construction to completion and production, setting a new record for similar projects.

After the first phase of the project is put into production, it is estimated that the annual industrial output value will be 13.8 billion yuan, and the annual tax payment will be about 2.5 billion yuan. The second phase of the high-purity polysilicon project with an annual output of 100,000 tons, with an investment of 9.3 billion yuan, is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2023. After the two phases of the project are put into production, it is estimated that the annual industrial output value will be 27.6 billion yuan, and the annual tax payment will be about 5 billion yuan. The commissioning and commencement of Phase I and Phase II projects of Daqing New Energy will play an important role in demonstrating the high-quality development of the silicon industry in Baotou City, and will provide important support for building the world's green silicon city.Editor/Ma Xue
