HASNAIN is from Pakistan and is a staff member of the Halfaya project of China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC). Through the perspective of HASNAIN, the short film tells the story of the halfaya project employees from different countries working together and developing together in Iraq.

The Halfaya oilfield is located in Missan Province in southern Iraq. In 2009, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), together with a number of international and local energy companies, successfully won the bid for the Halfaya Oilfield Project in the second round of international bidding held after the Iraq War.

The construction of the Halfaya Oilfield has brought benefits to the local people. Fang Jiazhong, general manager of CNPC Iraqi Halfaya Company, introduced that while mining oil, CNPC actively participated in social welfare undertakings in Iraq, built kindergartens, water conservancy, electricity, roads and other infrastructure, trained and hired a large number of local employees, and at the same time drove more Chinese enterprises to enter the Iraqi market.Editor/Ma Xue
