UAE looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China in wider fields

Recently, His Excellency Dr. Ali Obaid al-Zahiri, UAE Ambassador to China, was interviewed. Ali al-Zahiri said that from the perspective of the UAE, the co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative is an accelerator for progress, which will push all co-construction countries to achieve common goals and enhance friendship in the next few years.

Ali Zahiri said that many countries are currently committed to economic recovery. China is an important engine driving global economic growth. As the epidemic situation improves, China is accelerating economic recovery and opening up. The latest economic growth target has released a positive signal. The UAE is pleased to see that China has entered a new chapter focusing on economic growth, and the world is therefore looking forward to a new era of economic growth.

In 2018, the UAE and China signed an intergovernmental memorandum of understanding on the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. In Ali Zahiri's view, the Belt and Road Initiative has had a significant impact on international trade and economic development over the past decade - making trade more convenient and efficient, and building the country and the wider world through a well-developed infrastructure network Unite.

Ali al-Zahiri said that like China, the UAE also strives to build an open, innovative and dynamic economy that improves people's lives. He said that in this field, the two countries have the same goal, and he believes that the partnership between Afghanistan and China will continue to expand and deepen.
