On March 20, 2023, the relocation and upgrading project of Lianyungang Soda Industry Co., Ltd. undertaken by Sinochem Second Construction Henan Branch officially started construction.

Jiangsu Coal Chemical Project

According to reports, Sinochem No. 2 Construction is located in the chemical concentration area of Lingang Industrial Zone, Guanyun County, Lianyungang City. The construction content mainly includes sulfur granulation and packaging, low-temperature methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, sulfur recovery, synthesis gas compression, and refrigeration stations. 18 unit projects, such as , ammonia storage, methanol tank farm, and synthetic ammonia accident pool.

The relocation and upgrading project of Lianyungang Alkali Industry Co., Ltd. is invested and constructed by Lianyungang Alkali Industry Co., Ltd. The project construction land is about 1,200 mu, with a total investment of 5.83 billion yuan. The advanced combined-soda process will be used to replace the original ammonia-soda process.

The construction of an annual output of 1.1 million tons of combined alkali production equipment, 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia equipment, 1 million tons of vacuum salt production equipment and supporting public works and auxiliary projects is expected to be completed and commissioned in 2024. Tianchen undertakes all the engineering design of the project, including the overall design, overall design, engineering design of combined alkali plant and system engineering design of the whole plant, as well as engineering design of supporting synthetic ammonia and vacuum salt making plant.
