In Yangjiang, Guangdong, China's first mega-kilowatt offshore wind power base - the Shapa Offshore Wind Farm is continuously providing clean electricity to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Lu Pengyuan, deputy general manager of Three Gorges Energy and a member of the party committee, said that at present, Three Gorges Energy has initially formed an offshore wind power energy corridor from Dalian, Liaoning in the north to Yangjiang, Guangdong in the south. The total installed capacity of offshore wind power has reached 4.87 million kilowatts, and the average daily power generation exceeds 35 million kilowatts. At that time, it is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 16,000 ordinary households, contributing to the promotion of green and low-carbon energy development.
