On April 7, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 100MW wind power project in Naqusani District, which was developed by China Energy Group Tibet Company, was held. The average altitude of the 100MW wind power project in Naqu Seni District is 4,650 meters. It is currently the largest wind power project approved in Tibet, and the largest wind power project in the world at ultra-high altitudes above 4,500 meters.

After the completion of the project, it can provide about 200 million kWh of clean electricity every year, save about 60,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 160,000 tons. Economic and social development will play an important role. At the same time, the development and construction of this project has important demonstration significance for promoting the development and application of high-altitude wind turbines and the large-scale development of high-altitude wind power projects.

According to reports, the project is an implementation project of the 14th Five-Year Renewable Energy Development Plan of the Tibet Autonomous Region, a key construction project of the Tibet Autonomous Region in 2023 and a power supply guarantee project of Naqu City in 2023. The National Energy Group Tibet Company attaches great importance to the development of the 100MW wind power project in Nagqu Seni District, and is making every effort to speed up the progress of the project. The review of the feasibility study report will be completed in September 2022, and the project approval and filing will be completed in February 2023. Construction will start in April and it is planned to be completed within this year. put into production.Editor/Ma Xue
