Perez is from Cuba. He is a lifelong meritorious academician of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, a foreign vice president of Hebei University of Foreign Languages, and a foreign president of Hebei Global International Economic, Social and Cultural Research Institute.

In 2018, Perez was invited to China due to the need for high-end talents from Hebei University of Foreign Languages. After coming to China, Perez’s main research direction is the Belt and Road Initiative research. He has achieved fruitful results in teaching reform and academic research, and won the Yanzhao Friendship Award issued by the Hebei Provincial People’s Government.

China focuses on its own development and international cooperation. After nearly ten years of hard work, the Belt and Road Initiative has achieved fruitful results.
