As we all know, the Iranian nuclear issue has always been a major problem in the Middle East. For this matter, many major countries in the world will meet from time to time to discuss solutions, but in the end they can't discuss the reason. No, given that China has mediated Saudi Arabia and Iran, the thousand-year-old enemy, Israel, which is opposed to the Iran nuclear agreement, has approached China and asked China to persuade Iran to stop its nuclear program.

A few days ago, after a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, Israeli Foreign Minister Cohen stated that Israel will take any means to prevent the Iranian regime from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Speaking of this, I believe anyone with a discerning eye can see that Israel is very worried about the nuclear program that Iran has been advancing. Once Iran finally acquires nuclear weapons, it will be a catastrophe for Israel. As for why it is called a catastrophe, we have to start with the conflict between Israel and Iran.

In fact, Israel and Iran were close allies long before the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979. The two countries have established cooperative relations in the economic, military, intelligence and other aspects, aiming to better maintain the order in the Middle East. But all this changed dramatically in 1979. At that time, the revolutionary faction headed by the Shia leader Khomeini launched the Islamic Revolution, overthrew the Pahlavi dynasty that ruled Iran at that time, and established the Islamic Republic of Iran today.

After the success of the revolution, the new Iranian government immediately severed diplomatic relations with Israel, because at that time the new Iranian government believed that the Pahlavi dynasty was a puppet regime supported by the United States and Israel in Iran. Subsequently, Iran also stood on the side of the Palestinian people and called on everyone to fight against Israel. Since then, the beam between the two countries has been concluded.

In the early 1990s, Israel's Mossad, known as one of the world's four major intelligence agencies, began to carry out various infiltrations on Iran, and successively attacked many Iranian nuclear facilities in order to achieve the purpose of attacking Iran's nuclear program. Since then, Iran and Israel have become sworn rivals, engaged in a brutal rivalry in secret. In 2020, Fakrizad, the head of the nuclear program of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, was suddenly assassinated. At that time, the Iranian government blamed the United States and Israel for the culprits, which caused the conflict between the two countries to rise to an irreconcilable level.

Today, as Iran announced that it has refined dozens of kilograms of enriched uranium with an abundance of more than 60%, some of which have reached 83.7%, which is only one step away from the level of enriched uranium for nuclear weapons. If this trend follows, Iran is very likely to acquire nuclear weapons if nothing else. In this context, how can Israel, which has always been domineering in the Middle East, not be afraid?

After all, the current Israel can overwhelm Iran militarily by relying on its possession of nuclear weapons, but if Iran also possesses nuclear weapons like itself, then Israel's advantage over Iran will disappear. Who will be the leader of the Middle East? Big brother really might not know. Therefore, for such a matter of life and death, Israel must break Iran's nuclear program.

However, in order to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue and then prompt Iran to stop its nuclear program, it is obviously right for Israel to approach China. Because as one of the major nuclear powers, China also wants to reach a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue as soon as possible, which will guarantee the security of the Middle East and the whole world. And this point was also reflected in the phone call between Foreign Minister Qin Gang and the Israeli Foreign Minister.

After speaking with the Israeli foreign minister, China also emphasized that Saudi Arabia and Iran have resumed diplomatic relations through dialogue, which has set an example for the world to resolve differences through dialogue. Reach a comprehensive agreement on the implementation of the Iranian nuclear issue and jointly maintain security and stability in the Middle East. To put it bluntly, there is something for you, and you have to seize the favorable opportunity to reach a dialogue and reconciliation as soon as possible.

Objectively speaking, from this perspective, it is right for Israel to appeal to China to call on Iran to stop its nuclear program. But the problem is that the core of the Iranian nuclear issue is not China, but the negotiations between Iran and the United States. China's role in it is only a mediation role.

You must know that Iran has stated more than once before that as long as the United States stops sanctions, Iran will abide by the Iran nuclear agreement, but the United States does not do this. The American idea is to sanction Iran to maintain its own interests in the Middle East. Want Iran to give up its nuclear program, but how can you take advantage of all the benefits in the world?

Therefore, if Iran wants to stop its nuclear program, Israel should turn to the United States, not China. Because China is not the source of Iran's anxiety, but the United States and its proxy in the Middle East, Israel. The United States and Israel have not taken any action. Relying on China alone to persuade Iran is just a unilateral dream.

Generally, for such matters, the United States is willing to negotiate with Iran, and at the same time be willing to make concessions in certain aspects, so that the two sides can negotiate. Just like Saudi Arabia and Iran at that time, they both made concessions to each other and came to negotiate with sincerity, so it is said that the two sides have reached a conclusion. However, the United States has not released corresponding goodwill on the Iranian nuclear issue at present, and only talks about its strength. This has caused some strengths to be inferior to his. For example, the United States does not consider Iran's interests at all, so the two sides will naturally be unable to agree on the Iranian nuclear issue.

Generally speaking, it is true that Israel approached China hoping to mediate the conflict between the United States and Iran on the Iranian nuclear issue, just like Saudi Arabia and Iran. However, Israel does not seem to understand that Saudi Arabia and Iran can shake hands and make peace. The reason is inseparable from the two-way rush of the two. If only one of them works hard, then the millennial enemies in the Middle East will not easily reach a reconciliation. This is the same reason for the current Iranian nuclear issue.Editor/XingWentao
