On April 20, 2023, the construction of key projects in the second quarter of 2023 in Xiongan New Area will start intensively. According to reports, there are a total of 43 projects that have been started this time, involving municipal infrastructure, public services, ecological green spaces, and the renovation and upgrading of three counties.

Three characteristics

This batch of concentrated start-up projects has three characteristics: First, focus on the main battlefield of the start-up zone, accelerate the construction of various functional areas in the start-up zone, and jointly promote the infrastructure construction of the fifth group, with the total investment proportion of the start-up projects exceeding 60%. The second is to focus on improving urban functions, speed up the construction of ecological corridor projects, build a green, ecological and livable new city, promote the development and utilization of clean energy such as shallow geothermal, and build a green energy system in Xiong'an New Area. The third is to focus on services to ensure people's livelihood, and implement 16 projects in areas of people's livelihood such as education, medical care, rural roads, and public security traffic management.

In the past six years, the large-scale construction of Xiong'an New Area has been accelerated in an all-round way, and the cumulative investment of 292 key projects has completed more than 530 billion yuan. Xiong'an New Area concentrates its efforts to promote the dispersal of Beijing's non-capital functions and large-scale development and construction. The three cities of underground, above ground and in the cloud grow together. The participating units stated that they must closely follow the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the development strategy of Xiong'an New Area, so as to contribute to the high-standard and high-quality construction of Xiong'an New Area.
