On April 23, 2023, the Hanas Putian LNG receiving station project press conference was officially held in Yinchuan, Ningxia. It is understood that this project is the first major energy project invested by Ningxia in Fujian, marking the transformation of Minning cooperation from one-way investment to two-way investment.

The Hanas Putian LNG receiving station project was included in the national "13th Five-Year Plan for Natural Gas Development". The project was signed at the 18th Joint Meeting of Minning Cooperation in December 2014. In December 2021, the project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission approved. At present, 34 special assessment reports including Feasibility Study Report and Environmental Impact Report have been completed.

Ningxia's first major energy project invested in Fujian is about to start construction

It is reported that the construction site of the project is located in Dongwu Port Area, Meizhou Bay Port, Putian City, Fujian Province, with a total annual receiving capacity of 10 million tons and a total investment of 12 billion yuan. It will be constructed in two phases. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, the annual supply of natural gas will reach 14 billion cubic meters, which can meet the annual gas consumption of about 70 million households, and can replace coal by about 17 million tons per year, with an annual output value of 30-45 billion yuan. Among them, the first phase of the project has an annual receiving capacity of 5.65 million tons of LNG, an investment of 5.26 billion yuan, and a construction period of 3 years. After being put into operation, the annual supply of natural gas will reach 8 billion cubic meters, which can meet the annual gas consumption of about 40 million households and can replace coal by about 10 million tons per year.

After the completion of the first phase of the Hanas Putian LNG receiving station project, it will not only increase the natural gas supply and storage capacity in Fujian Province and surrounding areas, but also provide Ningxia with medium and long-term natural gas emergency reserves through the replacement of gas transmission volume in different places to ensure national energy security .
