On April 28, 2023, the Hainan Provincial Public Resources Trading Center issued an announcement on winning the bid for the survey and design of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Haikou-Boao section of the G98 Ring Expressway. The construction and installation fee is 8.76 billion yuan. The construction period is 3.5 years.

Project Overview

This project is a reconstruction and expansion project. The route starts from the north side of the Longqiao Hub in Haikou City, passes through cities and counties such as Haikou, Ding'an, and Qionghai, and ends at the intersection of the East Line Expressway and the Boao Airport Entry and Exit Road to set up Boao Interchange. The total length of the main line is 96.845 km, including 25.583 km in Haikou City, 32.346 km in Ding’an County, and 38.916 km in Qionghai City; 4.608 km/109 bridges, 16 interconnections, 3 service areas, 3 maintenance work areas, and 3.8 km connecting lines are set up along the entire line /1 bar.

Technical standard

 The main line adopts the two-way eight-lane expressway standard, the design speed is 120km/h, and the roadbed width is 42.0m; the connecting line adopts the two-way two-lane secondary road standard, the design speed is 60km/h, and the roadbed width is 12.0m.

SJ01 mark: located in Haikou, the main line pile number ranges from K-1-145 to K24+438 section of the G98 Roundabout Expressway, the main line is 25.583 kilometers long, the main scale is 25.106 kilometers of roadbed, 0.477 kilometers of bridges/18 seats, 5 interchanges, services 1 area, 1 maintenance area, etc. The construction and installation fee is about 2.35 billion yuan.

SJ02 mark: located in Ding'an, the main line chainage ranges from K24+438 to K56+784.144, and the connecting line chainage ranges from LK0+000 to LK3+800. The main line is 32.346 kilometers long, and the connecting line is 3.8 kilometers long. The main scale is 29.812 kilometers of subgrade, 2.534 kilometers of bridges/28 bridges, 1267.2m long; 1 bridge, 697.2m long; 5 interchanges, 1 service area, maintenance Work area 1 and so on. The construction and installation fee is about 2.89 billion yuan.

SJ03 mark: located in Qionghai, main line pile number: starting point K56+784.144 to end point K95+700; main line length 38.916km, including roadbed 37.319km, bridge 1.597km/63 seats, 6 interchanges, 1 service area, maintenance work area 1 wait.
