On May 3, 2023, POWERCHINA Municipal Central and West Africa Company signed a contract for the Gombe Irrigation Project in Nigeria. The Gombe Irrigation Project is located in the eastern part of Gombe State, Nigeria. The source of funds is the World Bank. The construction period is 12 months and the defect liability period is 365 days. The main construction content includes: laying 1.5 kilometers of main canal dredging and maintenance roads, building 30 kilometers of secondary water supply canals, and 53 kilometers of tertiary water supply canals.

This project is another irrigation project undertaken by the company in the Nigerian market after the Kano irrigation project, and it is also the third project undertaken by the company in Nigeria. After the project is completed, it will greatly improve the water conservancy and irrigation system of Gombe State, increase the sustainable utilization rate of water resources, and effectively prevent the occurrence of flood disasters. It is a livelihood project of great significance.

Cajama Photovoltaic Project EPC Contract

On May 2, 2023, POWERCHINA and SSI ENERGY TANZANIA LIMITED, a local developer in Tanzania, officially signed the EPC contract for the Kahama photovoltaic project. This project is Tanzania's first photovoltaic project, which is of symbolic significance for improving the composition of Tanzania's national power sources and promoting the development of clean energy strategies.

The Kahama Photovoltaic Project is located in Kahama City, Shinyanga Province, Tanzania. The total installed capacity of the project is 10.33 MW. The scope of work includes: project survey and design, equipment procurement, civil engineering and installation of the photovoltaic field area and the 3-kilometer transmission line. The project uses double-sided double-layer modules, 2P mobile brackets and string inverters, and uses leading technologies to ensure power generation efficiency. After the project is put into operation, the power energy will be connected to the Tanzania National Grid, improving residents' electricity consumption and quality of life, and promoting the local economy. develop.

Nosy Be Road Project Addendum Contract

Recently, the Madagascar Branch of the 14th Bureau of Hydropower signed an addendum contract to the Nosy Be Highway Project with the owner, the Madagascar Multi-Regional Development Project Office (PIC), adding 13 kilometers of asphalt pavement to the original project. The starting point of the newly added section is the city center of El Nosy Be, and the end point is Nosy Be International Airport. The main construction contents include asphalt concrete pavement paving, drainage structures, signs and other projects.

The new project is still funded by the World Bank. So far, the total length of the construction section of the Nosy Be Island Highway Project has increased to about 38 kilometers, and the construction period has been adjusted to 18 months. The signing of the project marks the recognition and trust of the World Bank and the Malaysian government in the high-quality performance of the 14th Bureau of Hydropower.
