"The article shows that in November 2022, the first monocrystalline silicon rod produced by Sany Silicon Energy was successfully released in the Energy Industrial Park, announcing that Sany Silicon Energy has officially entered the stage of production and operation.

In December of the same year, the off-line of photovoltaic module products announced that Sany Silicon Energy had successfully opened up the entire photovoltaic industry chain, and had independent research and development and production capabilities from crystal pulling, slicing, cells to modules. At the same time, this also declares that Sany Group has officially entered the vertical integration camp of the photovoltaic industry.

Cross-border already has a layout

In fact, Sany Group intends to enter the photovoltaic industry for a long time. As early as 2016, Sany Group announced its entry into the photovoltaic field, investing 30 billion yuan in five years, covering investment and construction in distributed photovoltaics, and self-sustaining operations and providing post-maintenance services.

In March 2021, Sany Group intends to launch a 30GW monocrystalline silicon wafer project in Yunnan. Its production capacity plan is: 5GW in 2021, 15GW in 2022, and 10GW in 2023; a total of 30GW in three years. However, the news has not been officially confirmed by Sany Group.

In February 2022, Sany Group publicly released 14 photovoltaic equipment bidding announcements on the bidding website. The types of equipment include single crystal furnaces, slicing machines, and screen printing equipment. From the point of view of the bidding projects, the equipment for Sany Group’s bidding this time will be used in the monocrystalline trial production line of the Sany Photovoltaic Project and the Sany Photovoltaic TOPCon photovoltaic cell trial production line project. At the same time, this action is also regarded by the outside world as an important step for it to formally enter the field of monocrystalline silicon wafers.

In March 2022, Sany Group announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with China Energy Conservation in Beijing. The two parties agreed to carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of new energy, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment.

In July 2022, Sany Silicon Energy (Zhuzhou) Co., Ltd. was located in Sany Energy Industrial Park, Shifeng District, Zhuzhou City. It is mainly engaged in the research and development, Manufacturing and sales, providing overall solutions such as photovoltaic equipment and intelligent manufacturing production lines.

In October 2022, the 500MW TOPCon photovoltaic cell pilot test line invested and constructed by Sany was put into operation, and the production of the first photovoltaic cell was successfully completed.
