On May 10, 2023, the People's Government of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture released the results of the public bidding (secondary) winning bid by social investors for the franchise project of the Yunlong-Lushui Expressway. The project was won by a consortium led by Yunnan Communication Investment. The estimated total investment of the project feasibility study approval is 18.85 billion yuan, of which, the total investment of the Nujiang prefecture section is 10.32 billion yuan, and the Dali prefecture section has a total investment of 8.53 billion yuan.

Project Overview

Construction site: Yunlong-Lushui Expressway is located in Nujiang Prefecture and Dali Prefecture in the central and western regions of Yunnan Province.

The total length of this project is 66.149km. There are 6 large bridges of 9569m, 13 large bridges of 4506m, 1 medium and small bridges of 46m, and 20 bridges with a total length of 14121m. There are 4 super-long tunnels of 30297m and 15855m of long tunnels. The middle tunnel is 853m/1, the total length of the tunnel is 47005m/14, and the bridge-tunnel ratio is 92.41%; there are 5 interchanges, including 2 hubs, 3 service interchanges, 1 service area, and 1 maintenance work area , 1 monitoring sub-center, and 5 tunnel management stations.Among them, the mileage of the main line in Nujiang Prefecture is 39.138km, accounting for 59.17% of the total mileage; the mileage of the main line in Dali Prefecture is 27.011km, accounting for 40.83% of the total mileage.

Technical standards: The technical standards of this project are selected to implement the "Technical Standards for Highway Engineering" (JTG B01-2014), "Code for Design of Highway Routes" (JTG D20-2017), "Code for Design of Highway Subgrade" (JTG D30-2015) of the Ministry of Communications Relevant regulations shall also meet the requirements of other relevant technical specifications. According to the demonstration and analysis of the engineering report, combined with the task, nature, function and traffic volume of this project, the main line will be constructed according to the standard of two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 80 km/h and a roadbed width of 25.5 meters.
