In the morning, Hassan drove to the site of the Darya Darya gas power plant project, and went to the designated place to start the day's work. Laying out wires, connecting wires, checking cabinets... As an electric worker in the integrated group of the power station project, Hassan and three workers are jointly responsible for the power supply work at the construction site. Hassan said he has been doing this for 14 years. Two years ago, he came to this project to work, and his skills have improved a lot, and the living conditions at home have also improved. He is very confident that he will continue to participate in such high-level project construction in the future.

1500 MW gas-fired power station project in Syr Darya State

The 1,500 MW gas-fired power station project in Syr Darya is the first large-scale gas-fired power generation project developed in the form of foreign investment in Uzbekistan. It covers a total area of about 75 hectares and is currently the largest gas-fired combined cycle power station in Central Asia. The project is contracted and constructed by China Energy Construction Group, and it is expected to be fully put into operation by the end of 2023. The power station adopts the gas turbine with the highest combustion temperature, the largest single power and the highest efficiency in the world, and the design standard of zero discharge of waste water. Compared with the old power station of the same size in the local area, the power generation can be doubled.

On the north side of the project, the transmission substation has been built, and the silver steel structure transmission line towers stand tall and spread out sequentially on the 25 hectares of land, which is quite spectacular. Chen Songyin, director of the project of China Energy Construction, said that the power transmission substation began to debug the power grid connection procedure in May, making technical preparations for the first gas turbine power generation unit to be put into use in August and transmit power to the Ukrainian national grid.

In the afternoon, Hassan and three workers had just completed the cable repair. When they learned that a pipe welding prefabrication site in the southwest corner of the project was out of power, they rushed to the site without stopping. Under the guidance of the Chinese technical management personnel, they restored the power supply of the pipe welding prefabrication site in less than half an hour.

In his previous job, Hassan said, he was limited in the technical issues he could handle. After coming to this project, the Chinese technical experts took us to learn about electrical maintenance systematically and started to operate step by step. They gained a lot. Now the communication between the local staff and the Chinese technical guidance is smooth, and the thinking and working process of the Chinese experts are very clear, and they work very efficiently.

In recent years, Uzbekistan's economy and society have developed rapidly. The rapid development of the economy and the continuous improvement of people's living standards have increased the demand for electricity. As an important project planned by the Uzbekistan government, after the power station is fully completed, it can provide more than 36 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to the local power grid every day, which will not only benefit millions of residents in Uzbekistan, but also better help Central Asia to achieve power interconnection.

At 6 o'clock, the workers finished their day's work one after another and walked out of the project site in twos and threes. Along the road, nearly a hundred small colored flags fluttered in the wind, reminding the content of ensuring safe production and construction quality, reflecting everyone's smiling faces.
