In 2014, witnessed by the heads of state of China and Kazakhstan, the China-Kazakhstan Lianyungang logistics project was officially put into operation. As the first physical platform project of the Belt and Road international economic and trade cooperation, after nearly 10 years of development, the China-Kazakhstan Lianyungang logistics cooperation base has become an international economic platform for transit transportation, warehousing logistics, and trade between the five Central Asian countries, which has effectively promoted China. In the past few days, a China-Europe freight train carrying about 2,200 tons of potash fertilizer from Uzbekistan arrived at the China-Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) logistics cooperation base. Through the zero-waiting, zero-pollution, and zero-damage customs transit supervision mode, this batch of goods was sent to Southeast Asia on the Lianyungang shipping liner as soon as possible.



Today, it has become normal for Uzbekistan and other countries to send fertilizers to Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia via Lianyungang. More than 80% of Kazakhstan's daily consumer goods imported from China and exported mineral products, grains and other advantageous trade commodities transit through Lianyungang port.
