Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Rail

The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway is a landmark project under China's Belt and Road Initiative, a pioneer project for China's high-speed railway to go global, and it is also the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Since its construction, the project has been highly concerned by the leaders of the two countries. The main line of the project is 142.3km long. After the completion of the construction, it will connect Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Bandung, the fourth largest city in Indonesia, and effectively drive the areas along the line to build the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail economic belt.
